AD349  -  SOIC Adapter for 8 pin EEPROMS, 0.3" pitch, 150 mil body.  
SOIC Adapter for 8 pin EEPROMS, 0.30.3" Pitch. 1:1 connections. This adapter allows programmers (from any manufacturer) to program the 8 pin SOIC version of various 8 pin EEPROMs with 150 mil wide body. It features a robust 'clamshell' style socket for longer life. Note: the programmer used must already program the 8 pin DIL version of the same part.

Certain EEPROM devices are available in both 8 pin DIL packages and also in 8 pin SOP / SOIC packages with the connections rotated 2 pins anti-clockwise. This adapter allows a programmer designed for the 8 pin DIL device, to program the SOP / SOIC device. Two adapter variants are available: AD600 will fit into a ZIF socket with only 8 pins, spaced 0.3" apart; whereas AD598 has 8 extra (unused) pins, and its pins are spaced 0.6" apart. We recommend, and normally stock AD598 as this can be used in any of our programmers (having the industry standard universal ZIF socket), and is more stable in the socket.

This adapter allows a programmer designed for the 8 pin DIL device, to program the SOP / SOIC device. Two adapter variants are available: AD601 will fit into a ZIF socket with only 8 pins, spaced 0.3" apart; whereas AD599 has 8 extra (unused) pins, and its pins are spaced 0.6" apart. We recommend, and normally stock AD599 as this can be used in any of our programmers (having the industry standard universal ZIF socket), and sits more stably in the socket.

Parts from the 25640 family require a different adapter.
