Introduction

MQP Electronics manufactures one of the world's
largest ranges of package converters for use with
device programming equipment.
The range covers adapters both for our own programmers
and those manufactured by other companies.
The converters typically allow the programming
of parts with such packages as PLCC or TSOP in
a programmer designed for DIL parts.
As a programmer manufacturer ourselves, we understand
first-hand the stringent technical demands of
package converters.

Finding
the right adapter
It can be a very confusing task to find the correct
adapter for use in a particular situation. The correct
choice depends not only on the device which you wish
to program, but also on which programmer you intend
to use. Other factors include cost and durability.

We can provide complete programming solutions
for almost any device, but we also recognise that
you may have an investment in a particular programmer,
and need a suitable adapter for that programmer.
With these factors in mind we are trying to provide
you with the best possible chance to locate the
adapter you need, and to understand its strengths
and limitations.

Searching
by device package and pin count

Our adapter finding wizard provides you with the oportunity
to view all the adapters we currently make which match
your search criteria.
You may specify:
- Device Package
- Number of Device Pins
- Number of pins on base of adapter (to see the largest
number of solutions to your requirement it may be
best not to specify this)
- One or two keywords such as a manufacturer's name
or device family name
You may also choose the option of a listing of 'Brief'
or 'Full' descriptions.
The full description will specify which programmers
the adapter is intended for.
Clicking on the adapter code in the brief description
will pop up the Full description, and the full description
allows you to view the complete adapter data sheet.
Searching
adapter selections
In the left navigation bar near the top of the page
you will find some links to groups of pre-selected adapters.
For example clicking on Hitachi will result in a selection
of adapters designed for use with Hitachi products (mostly
micro-controllers). The PICSTART+ selection will display
adapters suitable for use with that programmer. And
so on...
Searching
entire site by keywords
In some cases it may be an advantage to
use a site-wide search for a keyword, as the adapter
data sheets themselves will be searched and these often
list particular devices which the adapter is suitable
for.

If you can't find the solution
First of all ask us - via our contact
page. We understand that adapter selection is confusing.
We are continuously designing and manufacturing new
adapters mainly as the direct result of customer requests,
so if we don't already make the adapter you need, just
